Atlanta, GA (March 1, 2025) — Prevent Child Abuse Georgia, the state leader in the primary prevention ecosystem is now Positive Childhood Alliance Georgia (PCA Georgia) and will remain the Georgia chapter affiliate of Prevent Child Abuse America. This transformation reflects our commitment to embracing a positive and strengths-based approach to supporting families and communities.
This strategic rebranding decision is the result of the organization’s evolution and feedback from partners, supported organizations, and community members.
“We are honored by the trust shown to our organization as we prepared for this transformational shift in how we approach collective action around how to best support children and families,” said PCA Georgia Executive Director Jennifer L. Stein. “We remain steadfast in our commitment to guiding a movement where all stakeholders feel part of a shared effort to support positive childhoods and build thriving communities.”
Over a more than 40-year journey, PCA Georgia has grown and evolved alongside the communities it serves, continually adapting to meet the needs of children and families. The new identity represents a hopeful, community-centered future for families across Georgia.
The new name, Positive Childhood Alliance Georgia, embodies a belief in the power of collaboration to enact lasting change. PCA Georgia strives to create a future where children flourish in safe, nurturing homes and communities by focusing on what families need – when and where they need it, without stigma.
This rebrand reflects a renewed vision of hope, collaboration, and positivity. While the name has changed, our mission remains steadfast: ensuring all children can grow up in safe, loving environments.
Key highlights of the rebrand:
- New name and tagline: Positive Childhood Alliance Georgia – Strong Families. Bright Future.
- Updated logo and visual identity: Vibrant colors and approachable design reflect the organization’s focus on hope and inclusion.
- Mascot: In conjunction with the rebrand, a new brand ambassador, Blue, is also being introduced. A teddy bear, a beloved symbol of a carefree childhood, inspired this new partner, eager to create joy throughout the state at outreach and other events.
As programs are retooled, messaging enhanced, and advocacy for family-centered policies deployed, the PCA Georgia mission remains steadfast: to strengthen families, raise awareness, and inspire transformative action across Georgia. PCA Georgia encourages everyone to embrace this shared vision to uplift every child and family in Georgia, creating a brighter future full of purpose, hope, and opportunity.
