In advance of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, Prevent Child Abuse Georgia hosted its prevention partners at the state capitol on Feb. 29.
Representatives from PCA Georgia, the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services Prevention and Community Support Section, the Georgia Essentials for Childhood initiative, and local PCA Georgia councils gathered for a photo with Gov. Brian Kemp, First Lady Marty Kemp, District 50 State Senator Bo Hatchett, and District 10 State Representative Victor Anderson.
A proclamation signed by Gov. Kemp commemorates April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
“Our work to advocate for child and family well-being is vital to a healthy Georgia,” said PCA Georgia Executive Director Jennifer Stein. “We imagine a world where all children have what they need to thrive and prosper, and all parents have the resources and support they need to care for their children adequately. We are grateful for the governor’s support and that of our senate and house members as we work together to build hopeful futures for Georgia families.”
